GENERAL URSUS/URKO HELMET
from Beneath the Planet of the Apes 
and the Televison Series

Yessirree folks!  This is the REAL McCoy. One of the two, that we know of anyway.
This is the hero URSUS helmet that James Gregory wore in BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES.
There is another, somewhat larger version that a stuntman wore atop one of the pull-over background/stunt masks as well.

This helmet is also the one that Mark Lenard (Ambassador Sarek  of Star Trek fame)
used in the Planet of the Apes Television series as URKO.  The proud owner of this piece was kind enough to let us photograph it
and share the fotos with all of you.

(The helmet sits atop APEMANIA's Gorilla Soldier Bust with a Deluxe General's Collar and base, for those who are wondering.)
