Gary Pawlowski T.G.A.K. ("The Great Ape Kid" as I used to sign all of my 6th Grade papers) The year was 1974. POTA was coming to CBS TV. I was so excited! My parents took us on a road trip from Michigan to California where I was able to buy a Don Post ape mask that I had been saving all of my allowance for. I carried that mask with me everywhere we went until we got back to MI, I never let it out of my sight! It's now 1999, my interest in the Apes eventually brought me back to Los Angeles where I was able to start a career in the SPECIAL MAKE-UP EFFECTS field. Many thanx to John Chambers and the POTA team for all of that inspiration. And yes of course, I still have that Don Post mask!
