That's me, Greg Larson, under the makeup. I'm a long-time fan and avid collector of Planet of the Apes. In September of 1997, I had the pleasure of being made up to look like Cornelius by makeup artist Bill Blake. Bill, as many of you already know, played the part of Cornelius in 20th Century Fox's promotional roadshow back in the 1970s. The facial appliance I'm wearing is one that Bill actually wore during the roadshow. The main hairpiece is original. It was made for and worn by Roddy McDowall during the T.V. series in 1974. For 25 years I wanted to try on the makeup and become an ape. As you can see, with help from Bill Blake (and Eric Greene) I was able to achieve my goal.
