In the meantime, here's some of the technical mumbo-jumbo:

This life-size display was created for a collector who owns several original
Planet of the Apes costumes.  Although not an original Roddy McDowall costume, this outfit consists of original pants,  brown undershirt, generic tunic, and generic shoes.  The leather "glyphs" on the chest are the only costume replication we provided for this wardrobe.

The details and likeness of the face were painstakingly recreated using re-tooled castings from the original Roddy McDowall "CORNELIUS" prosthetic molds and actual original Cornelius prosthetics as reference.   Yes, believe it or not, some of the original pieces used in the films and tv shows still exist, complete with left over spirit-gum crusties, hair, and all!  It was quite exhilarating to have a set of prosthetics worn by Roddy McDowall on hand during the sculpting of the face for this assignment. 
 

The hair is 100% natural human hair.

And yes, this one was hard to say good-bye too when it came time to install it at it's new and permanent home.
